One of the most foundational aspects of living like a New Testament believer is whether or not we truly follow Christ. To live for Jesus means that self-rule must go. We cannot live with one foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom. As we lay aside the old self to live for Christ, our desires and will are changed. When we seek to know Christ and live for Him instead of ourselves, we will find satisfaction in His will.
